Still Babysteps

I decided to blog each day about what's new to the blog (if any - if not you'll go without an update) and today I only have small improvements to offer.
Firstly, I added a picture of me, which I edited using a photo editing programm using my mediocre skills for that to remove the blah background from the picture. Taking a new picture with a nice background already went on my to-do list, so it will only stay around for a while. But still, I want you to be able to make yourself a picture of myself not only from my words. Our faces, the expressions they were, they are like our windows through which we present ourselves to the world. As we can't meet in person, you can at least see me smile at you in a picture.

Secondly I'm working on my blogroll. I have a few blogs I liked to read enough that I always typed in the links myself to check up on their progress, but this was tedious work. But no longer! I hope to discover new fun blogs too, which I can follow in the future. If you know of a crafty or simply fun blog you think I should know about, well do just that! Let me please know.

Nothing new, as yet

But I'm already so grateful for the wonderful people out there who are explaining things to me and anyone else who's not knowledgable of HTML I simply *had* to write about it.
Amanda from kevin & amanda is explaing here how to add a signature to your posts, and I can't wait to try this out!!  I'm thinking something cute (maybe a star?) and a "read you soon!" or something like that. I'll have to doodle a bit for a decision and search for free graphics, but I'm sure I'll come up with something nice. Meanwhile I've already found two pretty solid looking tutorials on how to put up post dividers in your blog, one by The Cutest Blog on The Block and one by Shabby Blogs. Between these two I'm sure I'll manage! I found beautiful free post dividers offered at Reflecting the Designer and am itching to try them out! (Oh, and the cute button-strap beneath the header? - still under construction, I want to create something personal there - it's actually one of the free post dividers offered by Shabby Blogs! ♥ It fits perfectly in the crafty & cute atmosphere I want to create for my blog.)

Blogbulk (found a tutorial on how to add a little picture to your blog post titles - I so want this! The template I'm using for my German craft blog comes with that and it's so adorable!) and Simply Fabulous Blogger also offer a TON of tutorials, which I'm sure will be extremly helpful to me! If you're as clueless as me (and even if you're not, I'm sure there's something to see for you as well!) definitely check them out!

As opposed to my German craft blog, (also brand new) for which I used a design template kindly offered by The Cutest Blog on the Block I wanted to try out what *I* can do with this blog, design wise I mean. I don't know nothing about HTML, so this is very complicated but also fascinating for me. I'm reading FAQ's and How to's and already managed to turn this blog from "blah" to "hm, it's something". (You can see which helpful sites supported me doing that at the end of the righthand sidebar.) Don't you think? But there's still more steps to take, until it's finished (and I'm satisfied).
Next thing I want to tackle is post dividers. Stay tuned!
